The PTO's main role is to show industrial automation developers and users the
beneficial results of using fieldbus - in particular PROFIBUS and PROFINET - in
North American discrete manufacturing and process automation applications. PTO
assists device vendors and OEMs in the design, development and marketing of
PROFIBUS and PROFINET fieldbus products. PTO also helps end users to understand
and make optimum use of PROFIBUS and PROFINET across the enterprise.

It’s Not Easy Being Green
“It’s not easy being green.” At least that used to be the case. But that was before PROFIenergy.
With PROFIenergy, for Energy Management on PROFINET, users can actively and effectively manage energy in their automation systems. By purposefully switching off unnecessary consumers, energy demand and, thus, energy costs can be drastically reduced.
So begins an article in PROFINET News called “Get Energy Costs Under Control.” Read the article to see the use cases that PROFIenergy handles. For more information including pictures and video visit the PROFIblog.
